Just Transition Fund Project Progress

One of our core values at maxwell+spark is innovation. This rose out of our academic DNA: research, curiosity to solve problems and the pursuit of answers form the foundation of who we are today.

We are therefore very proud to report that progress continues on the next generation of our advantage.li, our battery electric transport refrigeration technology.

As part of our Just Transition Fund (JTF) co-funded development programme, our R&D team is working on the advantage.li Gen 4 – a new high-voltage battery system designed to combine increased system capability with the safety principles that underpin our existing low-voltage technology. Key developments include:

-a high-voltage battery architecture
-fast-charging capability
-a design approach focused on maintaining a high level of electrical safety, comparable to our low-voltage systems.

The Gen 4 builds on the functionality and operating experience of the current advantage.li platform while preparing the technology for a broader range of future applications.

Development, testing and certification work will continue as we move towards commercialisation.

The project is co-funded through the Just Transition Fund (JTF), an EU programme supporting regions in the transition towards a climate-neutral economy. The JTF programme in Rijnmond is implemented through Kansen voor West.

Through this support, maxwell+spark is developing and commercialising the next generation of electric transport refrigeration technology.
