Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming three influential visitors to our production facility in Rotterdam as part of the JTF Rijnmond funding programme supporting advantage.li — our next-generation battery system designed to decarbonise refrigerated transport.
A heartfelt thank you to:
👉Chantal Zeegers, Wethouder Klimaat, Bouwen en Wonen, Gemeente Rotterdam – whose climate and housing portfolio reminds us how vital local innovation is to creating cleaner, healthier cities.
👉Belma Korkic, Sr. Advisor EU Funding Programmes, Provincie Zuid-Holland – whose leadership ensures that pioneering solutions like advantage.li can scale with the support of European innovation funding.
👉Rik van der Laan, Programmamanager JTF Rijnmond – whose work with Kansen voor West is helping build a future-proof economy in our region through targeted investment in high-impact technologies.
Why does this matter?
Rotterdam is Europe’s largest port — and with that comes the burden of disproportionately high emissions from diesel-powered transport refrigeration units (TRUs). Many of these idle in our city, polluting even when not in motion.
Our advantage.li battery system replaces diesel gensets on trucks, trailers and reefers — enabling 100% green, low-voltage electrification using safe, serviceable, and scalable technology.
🔹 One advantage.li unit eliminates approximately 150 diesel cars in terms of carbon and particulate emissions
🔹 It can be retrofitted, switched between trailers, and serviced by existing technicians.
Support from JTF Rijnmond is helping us move faster — optimising the power electronics, improving ROI for our customers, and accelerating real climate impact right here in Zuid-Holland.
Thank you for your time, attention, and support. We’re proud to be building the clean logistics future, together.
